The Department of Econometrics & Business
Statistics is running a one-day Workshop on Bayesian Econometrics on July
18. The workshop will be held at the State Library of Victoria, and features
presentations by John Geweke, Gary Koop, Dale Poirier, Robert Kohn, and
Herman van Dijk.

Awards for Excellence
in Research
Three of the recent Dean's Awards
for excellence in research went to researchers in our Department. Professor Don
Poskitt was
recognised for exceptional achievement in research quality and impact,
and Giovanni
Forchini and Katharina
Hauck shared the award for exceptional achievement in research
by an Early Career Researcher.
